The 1661 Inn offers magnificent ocean view rooms featuring a combination of decks, televisions, whirlpool tubs or fireplaces. The 1661 offers a few other places to stay off the main property; Anchor House, Dewey Cottage, Dodge Cottage, Narragansett Inn and the Hendrickson House. Since opening our doors for business over 40 years ago, we have stayed true to our commitment to serve fresh, homemade food. You don’t have to place an order, just listen for our family greeting to our guests that Aldo began using 40 years ago, “Andiamo . . . andiamoooooo!” Anna and Steve Papa started a family tradition with a small pizzeria and sub shop on Block Island. Baking and cooking has long been a family tradition, starting with Anna’s father, Aldo, and her mother Maria, who helped develop the idea of the Block Island’s first pizzeria. Dune & Bluff's (coffee and gelato) Eli's is a fun, much loved, small bistro located on Chapel Street in the heart of Block Island's historic Old Harbor. Eli's opened its doors in 1994 and was named as a tribute to the original owner's beloved Black Lab, Eli. Constantly striving to offer fresh, innovative locally sourced cuisine, craft cocktails and its famous welcoming fun atmosphere; Rosemary, Brad, Anne and the extraordinary staff look forward to welcoming you to Eli's. The food is great, the staff are great fun and so knowledgeable about the menu. Every works together like a Erine's Restaurant is and island institution and well deserved. Oh, and when you visit, you might get a taste of another inspiring thing about life… rock & roll The Ice Cream Place is Block Island’s original ice cream parlor (35 years). We get our ice cream and frozen yogurt from 5 dairies and choose what we, and our customers, think are the best flavors from each. We have 40 flavors up at any time and rotate through 60 varieties. Enjoy your favorite ice cream in one of our home made waffle cones. We make our own hot fudge and butterscotch sauces, and whip our own chocolate or regular whip cream so we can scoop it on your sundae. We also have a wonderful peanut butter sauce and assorted nuts and candy toppings. Try one of our regular or specialty sundaes - brownie, turtle, or cookie - or a banana split. Our baked goods are made from scratch using quality ingredients. Try the double fudge brownies, chocolate chip or heath bar cookies, panda bear brownies, lemon bars, frosted peanut butter brownies, or chocolate dipped macaroons. Kimberly's on beautiful Block Island, Rhode Island was established in June of 2014 in the former home of Harry's Restaurant. While the restaurant is relatively new the people behind it have been mainstays in the industry, on Block Island and New England, for decades. The "Kimberly" in Kimberly's is Kimberly Ward. You may know Kimberly from her years as Manager of Dead Eye Dicks or as Manager/Owner of the Beachead Restaurant. Kimberly is well known for always being in the front of the house making sure things run smoothly and greeting people with enthusiasm and warmth. Kimberly's husband, Norman Ward has been along for the ride as well, all these years, but he is behind the scenes. Norman, together with Terry Smith and Patty Crowley make up the "Back of the House" Managers, and while you may not see them in person too often, they are always there, in the kitchen, sending out creative, delicious, fresh, acclaimed dishes. Kimberly is without a doubt, Block Island's number one hostess! She will bend over backwards to make sure you and your party are having the best experience possible. Located on the deck at Yellow Kittens on Corn Neck Road, its an easy walk from anywhere in town or from the beach that washes along Corn Neck. At Los Gatitos you’ll be treated to traditional Mexican fare at a great price as you wash it down with a Margarita or Mexican ale. The nachos are a must, the best ever! The food is consistently good and interesting. The deck is great place to people watch and enjoy the ocean views - such a fun place to hang out! The Manisses Bar and Bistro serves; a café breakfast, Sunday brunch in our prosecco garden, daily raw bar and cocktail specials along with an alfresco dining experience from Mid May through September. Our chef’s seasonal menus consist of elegant dishes with a rustic influence that showcase our restaurant’s relationships with local farms and purveyors, served in our indoor bar, dining room and outdoor gardens.
