Block Island Blue Pottery is a family business named after the blue glaze chemically created and mixed by the artist. The blue hues relate to the beauty of the island and the ocean around it. Inside this fun store you will find an eclectic collection of vintage, repurposed and creative items for the home, lovely jewelry, funky and classic clothing, island art and hidden treasures. Interior design services also available. Lazy Fish was named Editor’s Choice in “Yankee Magazine” and was featured in the “New York Times”. The Mad Hatter. Block Islands only exclusive hat store! Located directly across the street from Old Harbor ferry landing. Come in for our fun hats, fashion hats, or some serious sun protection. We’ve got you covered. Mahoney’s of Block Island has been open for 20 years in this location. They are open year round catering to the changing seasons. For example you will find summer and winter raincoats. The merchandise is high quality. Most items in the store have a Block Island emblem stitched on to them. Mahoney’s is the place for great outer gear of any kind. Since making the first decoupage glass plate in 1991, the owners have refined the techniques and branched out from plates to include such items as paperweights, wine bottle coasters, tissue box covers, wastepaper baskets, letter boxes, clipboards and picture frames. In addition to the shop, their merchandise is available on Wednesdays and Saturdays at the Farmer’s Market. Mutt Hut is a natural pet food and supply store tucked away on Chapel Street. A general store for pets they carry nutritious brands of pet food and treats, as well as unique leashes, toys and outerwear. Don’t forget to stop by for a gift for the “best friend” you left at home. Located directly across from Crescent Beach. My Oyster brings to Block Island an eclectic shop filled with all things beautiful, fresh bouquets and arrangements daily, gifts for home and hearth and assistance with wedding arrangements. Services included are; wedding floral design, guest welcome bags, farm table & chair rentals, beautiful home decor, and beach provisions to name a few. Block Island manufactured fine yarns, clothing, felting kits and handcrafted items. While on Block Island and tour our Micro Yarn Mill where we produce handcrafted artisanal yarns made 100% on Block Island. The natural fibers are handled over 20 times as we take the fiber from shearing and dyeing to carding, spinning and plying to create deep hued and heathery color blends. A beautiful retail store is on the premises, that must be seen. Located under the National Hotel, Solstice is a unique shop with a great selection of gifts, accessories, ornaments and treasures all with a seaside theme to evoke island memories. Handmade jewelry and art from some of New England’s most talented artisans. Located directly across from the ferry landing you will find the island’s largest general store. Star Department store has a large selection of T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, active sportswear, summer accessories, taffy, toys, and other souvenirs. Great selection of beach gear, too! Located in one of Block Island's most iconic buildings, this store is bot to be missed! A Block Island institution! Strings N' Things provides a unique Island shopping experience with personality. Among the offerings are Clay-Dyed Hemp, Bamboo, Washable Linen and Comfy Cotton Clothing, plus a fabulous assortment of Giftware, Jewelry, Handmade Soap, Beanpod soy candles, Chimes and more! Throwback novelties make this store a fun stop. This small boutique store is filled with your preppy beach needs, Lily Pulitzer and others. This store is a hidden treasure. Located right across from the ferry landing. The Wave is a family clothing store filled with souvenir style T-shirts, beachy clothing, sunglasses and more. Wave tends to be step up in quality, with many higher-end brands of surf-and-sea type clothes. Wild Flowers Boutique is located under the Harborside Inn and across from the ferry landing. Wild Flowers Boutique is a fun store where fashion meets the beach. You will find that perfect outfit whether you are headed to the beach or to a wedding and reception.
