Block Island Arts & Craft Guild

The Block Island Arts and Crafts Guild’s membership includes photographers, authors, sculptors and jewelers.  Several times each summer, from 9 am to 2 pm, the Block Island Historical Society lawn (Old Town Rd and Ocean Ave) and becomes a showplace and marketplace for guild members.  Stop by, browse and choose a keepsake or a gift from among the many paintings, photographs, sculpture, jewelry, fabric arts, candles, and more.

Block Island Historical Society

The Block Island Historical Society Museum, Gallery & Shop is located at the intersection of Old Town Road and Ocean Avenue. It is listed as part of the National Register in the Old Harbor Historic District and was originally the home and farm of Gideon Rose.  The Museum has extensive collections of significant artifacts related to Block Island’s history and several displays. The Society also offers a variety of tours, special events and lectures.

D. Chatowsky Art Gallery

Dave Chatowsky, an artist whose work has been seen around town for years — a mural at Aldo’s Restaurant, artwork on Jersey barriers down at Old Harbor and in The Block Island Times — has opened a new art gallery on Dodge Street. The D. Chatowsky Art Gallery occupies the space in the new building located in the parking lot of the Red Bird liquor store on Dodge Street

Eme D's Art has been around for a while but came to the Island in 2018 and have not stopped. I have been coming to Block Island since i was a kid and decided to never leave. The Photo Dog Art Gallery

Spring Street Gallery

For almost 40 years, the Spring Street Gallery has served as a hub for local art and is the island's only art cooperative. The Gallery offers watercolors, oils, prints, jewelry, and photography by local Block Island artists May through October and is staffed by artist members, who provide a knowledgeable and personalized shopping experience in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The gallery members also host consignment artists, opening receptions, and art shows for both guest artists and our members, offer occasional art classes, film showings, lectures, and a discussion series (year-round).
